About the Instructor
Oscar Bazurto has over 30 years of experience working in the Public Service sector. He has 25 years with the San Jose Fire Department as a fire investigator, HAZMAT Specialist, FBI Counter Terrorist -Terror Scene Management Training, Land Transportation Anti-Terrorism, HAZMAT Safety Officer, and Public Safety Response Training. He is a licensed investigator in both private and arson investigations. He has taught at Mission College as an associate faculty instructor in their Fire Protection Technology Department. He has a BS Degree in Fire Prevention Technology from Cogswell Polytechnical College, an AS from San Francisco City College. Oscar has a passion for education and learning both for himself and for his students.
